Generate a 3D object with Trellis 2

Trellis 2 turns a single image into a complete 3D object, a textured GLB file you rotate in the 3D object node, download for Blender or a game engine, and from which you render a free turntable video to wire as a reference into video models. Three resolutions are available, 512 for a draft, 1024 for everyday use, 1536 for fine detail, with generation taking one to two minutes. A figurine, a product, an accessory photographed on a neutral background give the best volumes; a whole scene or a subject cut by the frame come out less clean.

  • Resolutions: 512, 1024, 1536

What Trellis 2 does

Trellis 2 takes an image of an object, photo or render, and rebuilds its whole volume, including the faces the photo does not show, with a texture laid on top. The result is a GLB, the standard 3D format on the web, readable by Blender, Unity, Unreal, browser viewers and 3D printers after conversion. On Imaginode it displays in the 3D Object node, rotates with a finger, downloads, and serves as the base of a video: the turntable rendered in the browser wires into Wan 3.0 or Seedance 2.5 as a reference video, and the video model stages the object without distorting it.

Three detail levels

Trellis 2 offers three reconstruction resolutions, noted 512, 1024 and 1536. The first is enough to validate a shape or a game silhouette, the second is the right compromise for an object seen up close, the third goes after engravings and folds. Generation time rises with detail, one to two minutes most of the time, and so does the file: a detailed object weighs tens of megabytes. For a scene element or an accessory seen from afar, the first tier looks barely any worse.

How it is billed, and what to feed it

The rate is per object, one price per detail level, shown on the button before you click, and a technical failure is refunded. The renders made afterwards in the browser, turntable video and still view, cost nothing. What matters is the input image: a whole object, framed wide, on a plain or simple background, lit without hard shadows. A product photo, a figurine, an accessory set on a table give excellent volumes. A whole scene, a subject cut by the frame or a transparent object give poor ones.

How to use it on Imaginode

  1. 1Upload or generate an image of the object, whole and on a plain background, then add a 3D Object node from the toolbar.
  2. 2Wire the image into the node, pick Trellis 2 and the detail level: the exact price shows on the button before you click.
  3. 3Generate: the GLB file displays in the node. Rotate it, capture a view or render a turntable video at no cost, and wire them into your Image and Video nodes.

Frequently asked questions

Can the Trellis 2 GLB be edited in Blender?

Yes: download the file from the node and import it into Blender, Unity, Unreal or any tool that reads glTF. Mesh and textures arrive together.

Which image gives the best 3D object?

A whole object, on a plain background, without a strong cast shadow, framed wide. If you start from a render, ask the Image node for a plain background and a three-quarter view: it is the view that informs the volume best.

How much does a 3D object generated with Trellis 2 cost?

42 credits per object at the default detail level, about $0.50 (1 credit = $0.012). The price of each tier shows on the button before you click, the turntable video and the views are then rendered in your browser at no cost, and a failure is refunded automatically.

What exactly does Trellis 2 produce?

A textured GLB file, the format read by Blender, Unity, Unreal and web viewers. On Imaginode it displays in the 3D Object node, downloads, and its renders (a turntable video, a still view) wire into Video and Image nodes like any other media.

Can I try Trellis 2 for free?

Yes: signing up grants trial credits, no credit card required. Enough to test Trellis 2 in real conditions before deciding on a plan or a top-up.

Do I need to install anything to use Trellis 2?

No: Trellis 2 runs server-side, in the browser, mobile included. Imaginode's node canvas wires its renders to the other models (references, camera, styles) with nothing to install.
