Magnific Spaces review: the short answer
Magnific Spaces, formerly Freepik Spaces, is a collaborative node canvas bundled with every paid Magnific plan from €12 a month billed annually; it's a strong pick for a marketing team that also wants a stock library and upscalers, and a weaker one if you need to know exactly what a month of video will cost.
Spaces wires text, image, video and audio together on an infinite board, and several people can edit it at once. The credit cost shows on the Run button before every generation, which is the right call. The weak spot is the pricing page: it contradicts itself on how long credits last and on who can buy top-ups, and Unlimited lost several models this year.
Disclosure: you're reading this on the Imaginode blog. Imaginode is Frank Houbre's tool, and it's a node canvas too, so Magnific is a direct competitor. We say plainly below where Magnific beats us.
Freepik Spaces or Magnific Spaces: same product?
Yes. Freepik renamed itself Magnific on April 28, 2026, and Freepik Spaces became Magnific Spaces, with the same account and the same subscription.
The name is confusing because Magnific started as the image upscaler Freepik bought. Today Magnific is the whole platform: image and video generators, a library of more than 250 million stock assets, upscalers, and Spaces. freepik.com now redirects to magnific.com.
So when you look for reviews, you'll find plenty of "Freepik Spaces" pages written before the rename. Many of them describe a more generous Unlimited than the one you get today. Check the date.
What the Spaces canvas does
Spaces sorts its nodes into seven categories (Media, Text, Image, Video, Audio, Utilities and Designer) and links them through typed ports that only accept compatible data.
Each node does one job: generate an image, write a prompt, add a voiceover, upscale a video. Connections carry five data types, image, text, video, audio and SVG (still experimental), each with its own color. An image output won't snap onto a text input, which saves you from a whole class of silly mistakes.
According to the official docs, you get image and video generators where you pick the model, an Assistant node that writes or describes, an upscaler with Creative and Precision modes, a Camera Angles node that re-renders an image from a new viewpoint, three audio nodes (voiceover, sound effects, music) and a node that mixes those tracks onto a video. The Designer node opens a full graphic editor inside the canvas for multi-page layouts.
Two features matter for teams working at volume. The List node feeds a batch of prompts into one generator, and multi-generation returns 2 to 10 results in a single run. To add a node you press Space or "/" and a search palette opens, and each entry's tooltip shows its credit cost.
Templates, Flows and working as a team
Beyond the canvas, Spaces leans on three things: templates signed by creative partners, Flows that turn a Space into a form, and simultaneous editing.
The templates on the Spaces page are heavily marketing-flavored: adapt and animate ads, product variations in context, a 360° product view, localized UGC-style video, swapping a product into an existing design, storyboard to motion. You open one, drop in your media and prompts, and run it.
Flows are the most interesting idea here. Whoever builds the Space publishes it as a form: the person running it fills in two or three fields and gets the output without seeing a single node. A Flow runs from the gallery, as a node inside another Space, from Claude or ChatGPT through Magnific's MCP, or through the API. It spends the sum of every generation inside it, and if it fails partway, the docs simply suggest running it again.
For teams, each person gets their own cursor color, comments pin to a specific spot on the canvas, and there are three access levels: can edit, view only, owner. The Spaces page claims over 600,000 creative teams and lists Coca-Cola and Ogilvy among its customers.
Is Magnific Spaces free?
A free Magnific account can create up to 3 Spaces, but it has no credits: only the free tools with daily caps are available.
The Spaces FAQ says it in one sentence: up to 3 Spaces and the AI tools included in the free plan. The help page lists those caps: 20 images a day with Classic Fast or Flux Fast, 20 with Classic, 40 sketch-to-image runs, 3 retouches, 3 expands, 3 reimagines and 1 background removal a day. Free users get no credits at all.
The same FAQ adds that "generators consume credits". In practice, recent models, video and audio need a subscription. The free tier is for learning the interface, not for building a real video workflow.
Magnific Spaces pricing in October 2026
Spaces has no separate subscription: it's included in Premium (€16 a month, €12 billed annually), Premium+ (€36, €27 annually) and Pro Starter (€88, €66 annually).
Prices are in euros, excluding VAT, as shown on magnific.com/pricing on October 21, 2026, viewed from Europe. Paying annually saves 25%. Credits are counted per year: 240,000 on Premium, 600,000 on Premium+, 1.5 million on Pro Starter, with a 4 million option that adds unlimited Nano Banana Pro. Every plan includes the 250M+ stock library, the commercial AI license, Magnific's upscalers, MCP and API access. The page also shows a 30-day refund guarantee.
Magnific plans that include Spaces, public prices excluding VAT
| Plan | Monthly | Annual (per month) | Credits per year |
|---|---|---|---|
| Premium | €16 | €12 | 240,000 |
| Premium+ | €36 | €27 | 600,000 + Unlimited on some models |
| Pro Starter | €88 | €66 | 1.5 million (4 million option) |
What does a video actually cost in Spaces?
On annual Premium, one Magnific credit works out to about €0.0006, so a 4-second Seedance 2.5 clip at 720p costs about €1.06 and a 5-second Kling 3.0 Pro clip about €0.27.
The math is simple: €144 a year for 240,000 credits. After that, everything depends on the model, and the spread is huge. Seedance 2.5 at 720p takes 1,760 credits per 4 seconds, which is 136 clips a year on Premium. The same Seedance 2.5 in 480p draft mode drops to 800 credits. Veo 3.1 in 4K with audio climbs to 2,080. A Nano Banana 2 image at 1K costs 75 credits, under 5 cents.
240,000 credits sounds like a lot. If most of what you make is Seedance video, it goes fast. The cost on the Run button keeps you from burning credits on a whim, as long as you actually look at it.
One more line from the FAQ worth remembering: Magnific reserves the right to change credit costs at any time, without notice.
Credits, top-ups and Unlimited: the fine print
Magnific's pricing page contradicts itself twice: on whether credits reset monthly, and on who can buy extra credits.
First contradiction. Every plan card says "credits valid for 1 year, no monthly resets". The FAQ on the same page says the opposite for monthly billing: credits reset every month and unused ones don't roll over. On annual billing you get them all upfront and they reset each year. If you pay monthly, assume the FAQ is right.
Second contradiction. The Premium card promises you can "top up credits anytime", yet the FAQ says only Premium+ and Pro subscribers can buy extra credits. Those credits last three years, are only spent once your plan's credits run out, and go on hold if you cancel.
And Unlimited isn't the one you saw in 2025 videos. It's limited to Premium+, Business and Pro. On Premium+ and Business, Nano Banana Pro (1K and 2K), Nano Banana 2 at 2K, Flux.2 Flex, Flux.2 Max, GPT Image 1.0 and 1.5 move back to credits at your next renewal, and from day one for new subscribers. Nano Banana 2 at 1K and 30+ other models stay unlimited. Once your priority allowance runs out, generations run one at a time, at a speed that depends on demand.
What users say about Magnific
Magnific's Trustpilot profile shows 4.0 out of 5 from 3,220 reviews as of October 21, 2026, with subscriptions listed among the topics where experiences are mixed.
The AI summary on Trustpilot highlights a clean interface and a very wide range of tools. It puts subscriptions and the website among the topics where feedback is split. Among the featured reviews, one subscriber misses the AI music section they used on Freepik, and another wants Unlimited to cover more models. These reviews cover the whole platform, not Spaces alone.
Our take: Spaces is the canvas of a giant suite. You gain the stock library, the upscalers and video under one subscription. You lose clarity: three plans, yearly credits, an Unlimited that keeps shifting, and rules that change at renewal. A solo creator who just wants to understand the bill will have to read the whole FAQ.
Magnific Spaces or Imaginode: which one?
Magnific Spaces is the better pick for a team that needs stock assets, multi-person editing and shareable Flows; Imaginode suits a solo creator or a classroom that wants a simple monthly plan with the cost shown before every generation.
Reminder: Imaginode is Frank's tool. We compare anyway, and say where each one wins.
Pick Magnific if you work as a team on the same canvas, need stock photos and vectors next to generation, want to publish a workflow as a form for colleagues with Flows, or if Unlimited on Nano Banana 2 at 1K and Kling 2.5 covers your output. On collaboration, the stock library and Flows, Magnific is ahead of Imaginode.
Pick Imaginode if you create alone or with a class and want a month you can read at a glance. Starter is $17 a month excluding tax for 900 credits, one credit is about $0.012, and all 126 models are open on every plan. The cost shows before each generation, a failed generation is refunded in credits automatically, and top-ups never expire. The free tier is shorter: your first 3 images, no card needed.
The Imaginode vs Magnific page keeps the full comparison current, the Magnific alternatives page lists other options, and our FLORA AI review covers the other big team canvas.

Our verdict on Magnific Spaces
How we analysed this
No Magnific account was used and no generation was run: this review is not based on hands-on testing. On October 21, 2026, without logging in, we read and captured the Spaces page, the pricing page with its FAQ expanded, and six pages of the official documentation (Spaces overview, getting started, nodes and connections, collaboration, Flows, and the free-user tools page).
User feedback comes from Magnific's public Trustpilot profile, read the same day. Imaginode prices come from imaginode.ai/en/pricing, checked the same day.
