Imaginode vs Moonvalley: Marey is no longer sold to creators, so what's left?

Moonvalley shut down its $14.99 plans in March 2026 and now works only with studios. What's left of Marey, and what Imaginode offers instead.

The Imaginode canvas, in real conditions

If you came here to subscribe to Moonvalley and use Marey, you'll hit a wall: the signup link now lands on a goodbye page. Moonvalley says it's focusing on enterprise and studio partnerships and retiring its Standard, Plus and Pro plans, with auto-renewals stopping on March 23, 2026. Plenty of sites still list $14.99 a month. That plan is gone.

Is there still a way in for a solo creator? A narrow one. As of November 6, 2026, the ComfyUI docs mark the Moonvalley nodes as deprecated and say the API is no longer available. Marey's page on fal.ai is still up, at $1.50 for 5 seconds and $3 for 10 seconds, but we didn't run a generation there, so we can't promise it responds. Moonvalley's own public API is still a waitlist.

Imaginode is our product, so keep that in mind as you read. Marey isn't in our catalog, and we play a different game: Moonvalley sells studios a model trained on licensed footage, and we sell anyone a node canvas with over 100 models from other vendors. If you need a guarantee about training data, we don't have one. If you want to direct the camera and the motion of a shot without talking to a sales rep, we can help.

When to choose Moonvalley

  • You're a studio or a brand and your legal team wants a model trained on licensed data. That's who Moonvalley is for today, and Imaginode doesn't give that guarantee.
  • You're running a production big enough to discuss a contract: Moonvalley's partner form is open, and in 2025 the company advertised custom models built from a client's own catalog.
  • You want to draw an object's path through the shot by hand. We have nothing like it.

When to choose Imaginode

  • You work alone or in a small team and you want to generate tonight, with no contact form.
  • You lost your Marey plan and you miss motion transfer: Kling 3.0 Motion Control takes an image and a driving video of 3 to 30 seconds.
  • You want to compare several models on the same shot rather than bet on one.
  • You want to learn to direct a shot: the Camera node sets the lens, aperture, angle and movement.
  • You want to see the price of a shot before you click, and get your credits back if the generation fails.

Frequently asked questions

Does Moonvalley still exist?

Yes. The site is live and the company keeps working with studios and enterprise clients. What's gone is the self-serve subscription.

Can I still use Marey if I'm not a studio?

Through Moonvalley, no. That leaves the model's page on fal.ai, billed per call, which we haven't tested. Don't rely on Moonvalley's API page: it still mentions ComfyUI, while ComfyUI says the service is no longer available.

How much did Marey cost?

Standard was $14.99 a month for 100 credits, Plus $34.99 for 250, Pro $149.99 for 1,000, or about 10 credits per generation. Those figures come from Moonvalley's help center as archived on December 13, 2025, and the plans are no longer sold.

What happens to a former subscriber's videos?

Moonvalley warned that accounts would no longer be accessible once the final billing period ended, and asked users to download everything first. If you didn't get your files, the address on its page is team@moonvalley.com.

Does Imaginode have a "commercially safe" model like Marey?

No. Our models come from third-party vendors, each with its own terms, and none is sold here with that promise. If your contract requires it, look at Moonvalley instead.
