What SoundCloud and ElevenLabs announced on 5 November

Since 5 November 2026, a track made in ElevenMusic, the music app from ElevenLabs, can be published straight to SoundCloud, with no export and no re-upload.

The news comes from a joint press release datelined New York, 5 November. SoundCloud becomes the first outside platform ElevenMusic publishes to. Until now a track stayed inside the ElevenLabs ecosystem, or you downloaded it and uploaded it again by hand.

It runs one way. You create in ElevenMusic and publish to SoundCloud. The Verge points out that this goes less far than the October deal with Moises, which lets you pull a track from SoundCloud into Moises to split its stems, then publish it back.

Both CEOs call it a start. Eliah Seton, CEO of SoundCloud, talks about a broader collaboration, and Mati Staniszewski, CEO of ElevenLabs, says creation and discovery belong together. No other feature has a date.

An ElevenMusic label on every track

Tracks published from ElevenMusic carry a disclosure on SoundCloud that names ElevenMusic as their creation source. Your listeners will know where the sound comes from.

The release mentions platform-specific disclosures but does not show what they look like or where they appear on a track page. I could not check it on a real track as of 6 November.

These tracks follow SoundCloud's usual content rules, ownership and rights included. Its help page on the AI Act already encourages creators covered by Article 50 of the EU regulation to write "AI-generated or manipulated" in the track description, and it bans imitating another artist's voice or identity. The automatic label adds to those rules, it does not replace them.

Three free months of ElevenMusic Pro for Artist Pro subscribers

New and existing SoundCloud Artist Pro subscribers can unlock three months of ElevenMusic Pro for free through the Member Benefits program.

The release lists what that plan includes: up to 1,000 song creations, 500 stem splits and five custom styles or vocals per month. It does not say what happens after the three months, or what ElevenMusic Pro costs then.

What it changes if you make music with AI

Publishing gets simpler, and the AI origin gets more visible. The two come together, which is mostly good news if you are open about your method.

The practical gain is real if you publish often: no file to export, rename and send again. If you try ten ideas a week, that saves time on the dullest part of the job.

But read the label as an editorial choice. A track marked ElevenMusic will be heard as an AI track, by your fans and by playlist curators. If your project rests on a voice or an identity you are building, decide before you publish what you want to show: the raw track, or a track reworked elsewhere with your own voice, arrangement and mix.

And ask the money question before you invest time. The announcement says nothing about earnings for these tracks on SoundCloud. Neither the release nor the coverage I read answers it, as of 6 November.

What I would do this week

Keep a record of every step, choose what goes out under your name, and test on a secondary account or playlist before your main profile.

If you already pay for Artist Pro, the three free months are the cheapest way to see how SoundCloud shows the label. Publish one test track, look at the page on desktop and on mobile, then decide.

If you compose elsewhere, nothing changes: you download and publish as before. On Imaginode, the AI song tool uses the ElevenLabs Music model through the API, and the vocal remover splits the stems. The file is yours to publish anywhere, but there is no SoundCloud button.

Either way, keep your prompts, your versions and your split stems. The day a platform or a label asks how a track was made, that is your only proof. For the film or music video that goes with the track, the guide on where to publish your AI film covers the platforms.

How we analysed this

Written on 6 November 2026 from the joint SoundCloud and ElevenLabs press release dated 5 November (SoundCloud newsroom), SoundCloud's help page on the EU AI Act, and The Verge's article of 5 November by Terrence O'Brien. The three screenshots come from the press release, taken on 6 November 2026.

We did not test the integration: no ElevenMusic or SoundCloud Artist Pro account was used for this article. The quotas quoted are the ones in the press release. Disclosure: Imaginode, Frank's product, offers the ElevenLabs Music model in its song tool, through the API. That is not the ElevenMusic app, and Imaginode does not publish to SoundCloud.
