Meta Muse launches spaces: a custom app from one sentence
Since 6 November 2026, Meta's Muse builds "spaces", small apps you describe in one sentence. What the announcement says, what it leaves out, and what it changes for a creative project.

What Meta announced on 6 November
Since 6 November 2026, Muse, Meta's AI agent, can build "spaces": small personal apps you describe in one sentence, which live inside the Muse app.
The news comes from Meta's newsroom. A space is a custom experience you create by describing your idea: a gift tracker, a daily word game, a project board. Muse builds it, then you keep adjusting it by talking to it: add what is missing, try a new look, change how it works.
You also choose where your spaces live: in the sidebar, in the main tabs, hidden, or scheduled to appear at set times. Meta's example is a weekly planner up front during the week, swapped for weekend plans on Saturday.
Meta says spaces are available everywhere Muse is, from the day of the announcement. Sharing with other people does not exist yet: Meta only says it is exploring it.
Spaces that update themselves
A space can connect to your other apps and keep itself up to date in the background: new concert dates, price changes, progress on a savings goal.
According to The Verge, Muse can pull data from Gmail, Google Calendar, OpenTable, Notion and other services it already works with. You can check things off, add notes and edit right in your space, and everything is still there when you come back.
Several of the ideas Meta lists speak to creators: a podcast studio that keeps your episode ideas, research and scripts together, a tracker for the artists you love, a client hub for freelance work, or an order tracker for a small shop.
Mark Zuckerberg wrote on X that he built a barbecue game, an event tracker and a home control dashboard, according to TechCrunch. The same article notes that Meta claimed 10 million users of its agents in the US and Canada in October.
What is confirmed, and what is still unclear
The announcement explains the idea well and the limits much less. Here is what can be said as of 7 November.
Meta is also rolling out specialized versions of its models in Muse, trained with what it learned from Muse Wonder, its October model. The Verge says they bring the Active Memory and Active Focus features to Muse and Meta AI.
Muse spaces as of 7 November 2026
| Point | What Meta says | What is still unclear |
|---|---|---|
| Creation | Describe your idea, Muse builds the space | What a space cannot do |
| Updates | Connected apps, background updates | Full list of compatible apps |
| Sharing | Not yet, Meta is exploring it | Date and form of sharing |
| Availability | Everywhere Muse is available | Whether Muse is available in France |
| Export | Not covered | Getting your data out of Muse |
What it changes for a creative project
For organizing a project, it is handy. For making the images, videos or sound of the project, it is not the tool.
A "podcast studio" or "series tracker" space can replace the spreadsheet you never update: episode list, ideas, scripts, dates. The gain is that it is built from one sentence and updates itself when it is connected to your calendar or your notes.
But a space stays inside Muse. Nothing in the announcement mentions export, and sharing does not exist yet. If you work with others, or if your project has to live somewhere other than Meta, keep your source of truth in a tool you control.
And a space organizes, it does not make. To chain the steps of a piece of work, from image to video to sound, you need a real AI workflow, where each step keeps its trace. Our comparison of the best AI workflow tools helps you choose for your project.
What I would do this week
Test one space on a real project, watch what it keeps, and leave out anything you do not want to leave with Meta.
If you have access to Muse, build a single space for a project in progress, for example tracking a video series. Ask it to pull the dates from your calendar, then look at what it shows a week later without touching it.
Note what you put in it. Title ideas, fine. Full scripts or client files, I would keep elsewhere until Meta says something about export and sharing.
For the making part, the Imaginode canvas links the steps of a project, from an AI audio series to video, node by node, and every file stays yours.
How we analysed this
Written on 7 November 2026 from Meta's announcement dated 6 November (about.fb.com newsroom), The Verge's article of 6 November by Emma Roth and TechCrunch's article of the same day by Lucas Ropek. The three screenshots come from those pages, taken on 7 November 2026.
We did not build a space: no Muse account was used for this article, and we could not check whether Muse is available in France. Disclosure: Imaginode, Frank's product, is also a tool where you build your own creative workspace, as a canvas of nodes. It is not an agent like Muse.
