Lip-sync a video with Sync Lipsync 3

Sync Lipsync 3, the model from sync.so, re-times the lips of an existing video to a new voice: the person on screen articulates exactly what the connected audio says, expressions and head movements preserved. It is the natural path to dub a generated avatar, translate a spoken video or replace a failed voice-over without redoing everything. When the voice outlasts the video, two choices: cut to the shorter of the two, or loop the video back and forth until the voice ends. Billing follows the produced duration, measured by the server, up to two minutes per pass.

Capabilities

  • Voice as input: the lips in the video follow the wired audio
  • Durations: 1–120 s

What lip-sync does

You have a video where someone speaks, and another voice: the translation into another language, a corrected script, a cloned voice. Sync Lipsync 3 re-times the lips of the video to the new voice, frame by frame, keeping the face, the lighting and the framing. The result watches as if the person had said that text on set. It is the dubbing tool: one spot shot once, delivered in five languages with catalog voices or a cloned voice, without reshooting.

Voice and video: two lengths to reconcile

The video and the voice do not always share the same duration. By default the result stops at the shorter of the two: a voice longer than the shot is cut with it. The loop option repeats the video over the whole voice, useful for a to-camera take where the loop goes unnoticed. The node measures both files and warns before generating when the voice runs over. The voice comes from a Voice-over node, text read by a catalog voice or a clone, or from an uploaded audio file.

How it is billed

Sync charges per minute of video produced, and Imaginode brings that rate down to the second: the price follows the length actually rendered, measured on the wired files, cut or looped as you choose. The amount shows on the button before you click, and a technical failure is refunded. A sharp shot, a well-lit face seen from the front, a visible mouth with no hand or microphone in front, give the most accurate lips.

How to use it on Imaginode

  1. 1Upload the face video into a Media node, then generate the new voice with a Voice-over node, or upload an audio file.
  2. 2Wire the video into the video port and the voice into the voice port of a Video node set to Sync Lipsync 3: the price follows the measured duration.
  3. 3Generate: the lips follow the new voice, the video keeps its framing and its length, or loops over the voice if you ask for it.

Frequently asked questions

Can a video be translated into another language with Sync Lipsync 3?

Yes: write the translation in a Voice-over node, pick a voice, wire the voice and the video into the Video node set to Sync Lipsync 3. The lips follow the new language, the shot stays the same.

Does lip-sync keep the original sound of the video?

No: the audio track of the result is the wired voice. To keep music or ambience, put them back in the Montage node, over the synchronized video.

How much does Sync Lipsync 3 cost?

Sync Lipsync 3 is billed per second of video produced: 81 credits for 5s, about $0.97 (1 credit = $0.012). The duration is measured server-side on the wired file, never declared: the exact price shows on the button before you click, and a failure is refunded.

Can I try Sync Lipsync 3 for free?

Yes: signing up grants trial credits, no credit card required. Enough to test Sync Lipsync 3 in real conditions before deciding on a plan or a top-up.

Do I need to install anything to use Sync Lipsync 3?

No: Sync Lipsync 3 runs server-side, in the browser, mobile included. Imaginode's node canvas wires its renders to the other models (references, camera, styles) with nothing to install.
