Bria Video Background Removal removes the background of a video while keeping the subject, its fine edges and its audio track: thirty seconds at most per pass. The output is either a transparent webm, ready to be layered over any set, or an mp4 on a solid green, black or white background for a green-screen edit in another tool. It is the video counterpart of the BiRefNet cutout in the Retouch node: a person filmed in front of their wall becomes an element you place on a generated scene, a product shot on a table blends into an ad, with no studio and no green screen.

What video cutout does

Bria video background isolates the subject of a video and removes everything around it, frame by frame, hair and fine edges included, with no green screen on set. The subject stays with its motion and its sound. What comes out is either a webm with transparency, ready to be placed on any backdrop in an editing program or in the Montage node, or an mp4 on a plain background, green for a classic key, black or white for direct display. It is the gesture of the cut-out presenter, the floating product, the person moved into another setting.

Which background to choose

Transparent is the default choice for compositing afterwards: the webm keeps the alpha channel, and Chrome, Edge and Firefox read it directly. Green is for when your software prefers a classic chroma key or does not open webm. Black and white serve display as is, on a site or a screen, with no compositing. The choice has no effect on the price, only on the container: webm for transparent, mp4 for plain backgrounds.

How it is billed

Bria charges per second of video processed, and Imaginode measures that duration server-side on the wired file: the price shows on the button before you click, with nothing to declare, and a technical failure is refunded. A subject well separated from the set, without abrupt camera moves, without transparency (glass, veil) gives the cleanest edges. Thirty seconds maximum per pass; beyond that, cut in the Montage node and process the pieces.

The VP9 webm with transparency imports into DaVinci Resolve, Premiere and CapCut on desktop, and plays in Chrome, Edge and Firefox. If your tool does not open it, choose the green background and key it out.

Is the sound of the video kept after the cutout?

Yes: the audio track of the source is carried as is into the cut-out file, transparent or on a plain background. Nothing to resynchronize.
