Choose filesNothing is uploaded: everything happens in your browser
Vectorizing a PNG turns pixels into shapes: the logo or icon becomes sharp at any size, editable in Illustrator, Inkscape or Figma, and usable on a cutting machine. The tracing follows color areas: choose the number of colors and the level of detail in the settings.
How to convert PNG to SVG
- 1Drop your PNG files in the box, or click to pick them. You can add several at once.
- 2SVG is already selected. Open the settings if you want to change the quality, the size or the background.
- 3Download each file, or everything at once as a .zip. Nothing was uploaded: the conversion happened on your device.
The formats
PNG
The web's lossless format. It keeps every pixel identical and supports transparency, which makes it the format of logos, screenshots and illustrations. For a photo, it often weighs three to five times more than a JPG.
SVG
The web's vector format: the image is described by shapes, not pixels. It stays sharp at any size, which makes it the format of logos and icons. Yet many platforms, social networks and office apps ask for a pixel image.
Your files stay with you
The conversion runs in your browser, with your device's decoders. No file is uploaded, no copy is kept, and nobody but you sees your photos or videos. You can check it in the Network tab of your browser's developer tools: none of your files goes out.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work with a photo?
Tracing is made for logos, icons and flat-color illustrations. A photo gives a poster-like render with color areas: it is an effect, not a faithful copy.
How many colors should I choose?
As many as the logo really has, plus one for the background: 2 for a black logo on white, 4 to 8 for a colorful logo. Too many colors multiply the shapes and make the file heavier.
Is the converter really free?
Yes, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on the number of files. The conversion runs on your device and costs us nothing, so there is nothing to charge you for.
Are my files sent anywhere?
No. They are read and converted in your browser, then saved straight to your device. No server receives them.
Is there a maximum size?
The limit is your device's memory. Photos and audio files go through without trouble; for a video of several gigabytes, a computer does better than a phone.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, on iPhone and Android, in Safari, Chrome or Firefox. For video, an up-to-date browser is needed: it provides the decoders being used.
